Car Crashes Into DOT Truck In I-684 Construction Zone, Tying Up Traffic For Miles

Traffic was tied up on I-684 in Westchester after a driver struck a New York State Department of Transportation truck in a construction zone.

A southbound crash was reported shortly before 10:30 a.m. on Monday, March 2 near Exit 3 in North Castle, state police said, noting that the NYSDOT was in a marked construction zone.

The crash forced the right and left lanes on I-684 to be closed for the crash investigation.

Minor injuries were reported, police said. The right and left lanes will be closed “for an unknown duration” due to the crash, with the center lane still open for traffic.
